About the Role
Weekday AI is seeking an Audio Production Expert to demonstrate advanced skills in mixing and editing with Ardour or LMMS. In this position, you will engage in real audio production sessions, layering, modifying, and fine-tuning tracks live to highlight your distinctive creative approach. This remote contract role focuses on capturing authentic workflows that showcase both experimentation and professional choices throughout the entire process.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, edit, and mix multi-track audio projects using Ardour or LMMS as your main DAW
- Record authentic workflow by completing realistic audio production sessions from concept to final mix
- Showcase creative process including experimentation and real-time adjustments
- Layer and enhance sound elements using professional techniques
- Communicate important decisions and reasoning through written summaries and verbal discussion
- Work remotely with the customer’s team to achieve project objectives
- Ensure final production adheres to industry standards for audio quality and artistic integrity
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with Ardour and/or LMMS in professional or semi-professional environment
- Solid understanding of audio editing, mixing, and music production workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven experience constructing tracks or mixes from ground up
- Detail-focused mindset dedicated to producing high-quality audio
- Comfortable working independently within remote team setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Portfolio highlighting completed projects using Ardour or LMMS
- Experience producing range of genres or audio formats (music, podcasts, sound design)
- Background in professional audio decision-making or audio education
