In it, she delves deeply into a business named MowPod, which promotes a service called boost that uses online advertisements to increase show downloads. The article is fascinating, and I agree—I've received a lot of direct messages on my LinkedIn profile from people saying they can increase the number of downloads for my podcast.In any case, during the evolution of the Podcast Movement, Megan Lazovick from Edison Research presents the findings of the 2024 Infinite Dial study. • The ad giant Magna is revising its outlook for this year due to an improving economy. It expects total U.S. ad spending to rise 6.7% from a year ago, up one point from December. Magna predicts 9.2% growth in 2024 with political and other cyclical spending.

Presenting at Podcast Movement Evolutions, Megan Lazovick detailed the most recent findings from Edison Research's 2024 Infinite Dial report, which show a notable change in American audio consumption patterns with a rise in podcast listening and streaming audio. Call and online probability panels were used to sample 1,086 people 12 years of age and older for the nationwide survey that was carried out in January 2024. To align with the national population figures of 12+ in the US, the data was weighted. Almost two-thirds of Americans aged 12 and older tune into online streams, including traditional radio, on a weekly basis, indicating that streaming audio has become a mainstream medium. [ Source ]

💥 Alliance for women in media foundation unveils winners of the 49th Annual Gracie Awards

The 49th Annual Gracie Awards winners were revealed today by the nonprofit Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF), which supports women in all media sectors. The Gracies honour exceptional accomplishments in news and entertainment media that are devoted to, by, and about women on a variety of platforms.

The AWMF's annual gala, which will take place at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles on May 21, will honour this year's winners. On June 18, at Cipriani's in New York City, there will be a Gracie Awards Luncheon to honour local and student award recipients.

This year’s content themes are centered on “Feminine Strength, both Large and Small,” highlighting impactful actions resonating on various scales, as exemplified in acclaimed productions like Yellowjackets, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and We Can Do Hard Things. Among the distinguished winners are influential figures such as Michelle Obama, Glennon Doyle, Gayle King, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Nicole Kidman, Angela Yee, Rachel Brosnahan, Maria Shriver, The Kelly Clarkson Show, TODAY Show, and more.
