The collaboration comes today with Peabody and Emmy Award-winning journalist of various shows, Jane Marie's production company, and recording studio Little Everywhere. According to the agreement, Acast is going to host, distribute, and monetize the Little Everywhere owned and operated content on the top independent podcast company in the world, of course, inclusive of popular podcasts Dear Jane Marie and The Dream.
Apart from being the author of Selling the Dream: The Billion Dollar Industry Bankrupting Americans, Marie is the mogul of the podcast and media industry. She was also a producer of This American Life in the past. She is an accomplished author whose title was listed under the business category of Amazon's Best Books of the Year So Far. Further to that, she currently hosts the podcasts The Dream and Dear Jane Marie. She was most recently featured in the Adweek Creative 100, a distinction bestowed upon only the greatest creative innovators of the day.
"Jane Marie has been a leading voice in podcasting for some time, creating shows that have been fan favourites and have won industry accolades. With such deep expertise and an exciting new content always primed for global audiences, Jane is a perfect fit for the Acast Creator Network," said Tim Ruggeri, US Creator Network Dir. at Acast.
Little Everywhere has moved to Acast; Dear Jane Marie and The Dream are now hosted on all streaming services. This is enabling an increased reach of advertisers for these podcasts and increasing Little Everywhere's reach into wider audiences with the said content.
According to Jane Marie of Little Everywhere, her co-founder, "In my years in media, I've had a front seat to the evolving podcast industry and particularly seen its value to advertisers grow exponentially." "Acast is the only platform that offers me control and back office information with regards to the monetization of my work. For example, you won't hear an advertisement for some supplement or vitamin in the middle of an episode in which I disparage them." They were the clear choice when Little Everywhere was seeking a new network to host their podcasts.
Little Everywhere has produced some of the most formidable podcasts in the industry to date, including Michelle Obama's The Light Podcast, plus owned and operated content. Little Everywhere has also partnered with some big talent like Bradley Cooper and Karamo Brown, and was the company behind DTR from Tinder.
