AudioUK is delighted to once again team up with Amazon Music & Wondery on the Audio Production Awards' Pay What You Can scheme. This is a scheme offering free entry both to the awards and to the ceremony for those who might not be able to do so because of cost considerations.

The Awards :

The Audio Production Awards are powered by Audible and hosted by AudioUK, the trade body that provides business support and growth for people who make podcasts, radio, and audiobooks.

The fourteenth annual Awards celebrate outstanding achievement in audio production across a huge range of audio content, including podcasts, audiobooks, sound design, radio, and presenting, and are open to talent across the UK.

It contains 23 awards, including Best Producer in Comedy, Factual, Drama & Fiction, Arts, Music, Entertainment, Lifestyle & Society, Audiobooks, Sound Design, and more, plus a raft of on-mic and emerging talent awards, Best Ensemble Cast, and the special AudioUK award. This year sees the brand-new category of Little Ears Producer, which celebrates the creative explosion of audio being created for younger audiences.

How Podcast Advertising Shapes Holiday Shopping Decisions

Veritonic has found that podcast ads are more and more regularly influencing consumer purchasing decisionsโ€”especially during holiday shopping periods.

The Revelations

The data says 75% of consumers would like to hear podcast ads for back-to-school shopping, while 66% would like to hear podcast ads for holiday shopping. This trend is especially true during these very critical shopping periods.

According to a recent study by Veritonic, discount codes are the most favored by consumers at 70% in podcast ads, followed by free shipping with 66%, and 61% lured by buy-one-get-one deals. To note, as compared to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube ads, 39% of consumers show higher propensity to buy from ads in podcasts. In comparison, it is 47% and 42% respectively, showing similar propensity for these platforms.

It also exemplifies how consumers make purchasing decisions from their desktop computers or smartphones through podcast ads. For marketers looking to benefit from this fact, the role that tools such as Veritonic play in measuring creativity and fuelling brand visibility is great.
