Edison Research is bringing attention to US women's podcast preferences. According to Q4 2023 data from Edison Podcast Metrics, a blend of true crime, news, and lifestyle topics are featured in the top 10 podcasts among women, with female hosts making up half of the list.

According to The Infinite Dial 2023, 27% of women in the U.S. age 12+ have listened to a podcast in the last week. The list below ranks the Top 10 Podcasts in the U.S. based on the number of women weekly podcast listeners for Q4 2023 from Edison Podcast Metrics.

The podcast with the largest weekly reach of women weekly podcast listeners age 13+ in the U.S. is the true crime podcast Crime Junkie hosted by Ashley Flowers with Brit Prawat, and launched in December of 2017. Crime Junkie consistently ranks at the top of the podcast charts quarter after quarter, and currently sits at the #2 spot among all weekly podcast listeners in the U.S. The Joe Rogan Experience, the top podcast in the U.S. overall, is #2 among U.S. women, and true crime pod Dateline NBC ranks #3. 💥 Triton Digital Releases the February 2024 Canada Podcast Ranker

New Canada Podcast Ranker for February 2024 (January 29, 2024 – February 25, 2024) was released today by Triton Digital®, the world leader in technology and services for the digital audio, podcast, and broadcast radio industries. The rankings are based on Triton's Podcast Metrics measurement service. In February, 11.4 million downloads happened every week on average.

For this reporting period, the top three Canada originated French-language podcasts included Le Radiojournal (Radio Canada) again at #1, Les chroniques de Pierre-Yves McSween (Cogeco Media) again at #2, and Richard Martineau (QUB) again at #3.

The top three Canada originated English-language podcasts included Front Burner (CBC/Radio-Canada) again at #1, The World This Hour (CBC/Radio-Canada) again at #2, and The Current (CBC/Radio-Canada) climbing to #3.

Yet again, the top ranked podcast overall was Dateline NBC (NBCUniversal News Group). SiriusXM Podcast Network earned the #1 spot again on the Top Networks Report with 3.69M Average Weekly Downloads, followed by Wondery Network again at #2 with 1.91M Average Weekly Downloads, and CBC/Radio-Canada again at #3 with 1.65M Average Weekly Downloads. Keep It Light Media has announced the launch of their first scripted podcast, Dial F For Football, starring Lolly Adefope, Fergus Craig, Jessica Fostekew and Helen Cripps and featuring cameos from UK comedy royalty including Alan Davies, Ed Gamble, James Acaster, Lou Sanders, Ben Bailey-Smith and Phil Wang.
