💥iHeartMedia to Provide 24/7 Play-by-Play Channels for NBCU's Olympic Coverage in Paris

iHeartMedia has been selected by NBCUniversal as its exclusive audio partner for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. According to the agreement, iHeartRadio will broadcast select NBCU linear coverage of the Games in real time, play-by-play audio channels around the clock; produce an original Olympic iHeartPodcast with hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers; produce Olympic-themed episodes from some of iHeart's most popular podcasts; and encourage listeners to tune in for NBCU's extensive coverage. Gary Zenkel, President of NBC Olympics, stated, "We're thrilled to collaborate with iHeartMedia to give Olympic fans even more ways to enjoy the Paris Olympic Games." "With the help of this partnership, iHeart's sizable audio audience will be able to participate in the Games through its well-known and entertaining podcasts, as well as hear NBCU's Olympic coverage away from their televisions and digital devices." Listeners on iHeart will be able to hear NBCU's coverage of the most thrilling moments of the Games, with a particular emphasis on Team USA, thanks to the play-by-play channels. After leading the medal count at seven straight Summer Games, the United States appears to be back on top. Swimming, gymnastics, track & field, volleyball, soccer, and men's and women's basketball from Team USA will all be covered by NBCU on iHeart's channels. Actor-comedian Matt Rogers (Fire Island) and Saturday Night Live's Bowen Yang will host a brand-new original podcast from NBCU and iHeartMedia. The podcast will feature interviews with athletes, fans of celebrities, and current and past athletes to learn more about the Olympics from the hosts. Listeners can learn about and celebrate the Olympic athletes, city, and culture of Paris by following along. The podcast, which will be distributed by iHeartPodcasts and accessible on the iHeartRadio app and other podcast-listening platforms, is scheduled to debut with weekly episodes in late June. The episodes will run from before the Olympic Opening Ceremony to the Closing Ceremony in August. In addition, iHeartMedia will create Olympic-themed episodes for some of its most well-liked educational podcasts, such as Ridiculous History and Stuff You Missed in History Class, as part of this partnership with NBCU. The greatest athletes in the world will compete this summer in Paris, one of the most picturesque cities on earth and the inspiration behind the modern Olympic Games 130 years ago. Paris will share the record for most Summer Games hostings with London after hosting the Olympics three times (1900 and 1924). When Los Angeles(1932,1984) hosts the first Summer Games in the United States in 32 years in 2028, it will tie those two cities. The goal of Paris 2024's organisers is to showcase their city to the world and make the Games more accessible to the general public. First up, contests will take place in front of three famous Parisian landmarks: urban sports at Place de la Concorde, beach volleyball at the Eiffel Tower, and equestrian at the Palace of Versailles.
