🎧 iHeartPodcast Awards Return Live With SXSW

The iHeartPodcast Awards changed to a virtual event during the pandemic, reflecting the industry's growth. In 2024, iHeart and South by South-west have partnered to include the iHeartPodcast Awards in the SXSW Conference and Festivals in Austin this March.

This means that the awards ceremony will not only return to a live, in-person format, but it will also take place on a larger stage.

On iHeartRadio's YouTube channel, fans can tune in to watch this year's iHeartPodcast Awards through a video stream produced in collaboration with YouTube. The first livestream will be followed by an on-demand version of the event. Additionally, a live broadcast of the ceremony will be available via the iHeartRadio app and on a few iHeartMedia radio stations across the country.

Podcasts from all creators, distributors, and platforms are included in the nominee pool for various categories. A distinguished panel of creatives, visionaries, and leaders in the podcast industry will select the winners in a range of categories, including comedy, crime, news, pop culture, sports, food, and business. There will be fan voting for one award, the coveted Podcast of the Year, in addition to the category awards that are judged by a panel. Through its Icon Awards, the iHeartPocdast Awards will also honour producers, groups, and podcasts that have made revolutionary contributions to the industry.
