Launching Podcast 360: Exploring the Origins and Development of Podcasting, the Podcast Academy and DCP entertainment

Podcast 360, a brand-new podcast series, is the result of a partnership between The Podcast Academy and DCP Entertainment.

Each episode will feature three questions about podcasting, ranging from marketing to trends to audience engagement, answered by business founders and podcasting experts. Guests will only have 60 seconds to respond to each question through a fun "gamified" experience, giving listeners a deeper connection to their stories, their businesses, and the podcast industry. As the host of the following episode, the previous week's guest turns the mic on business associates, a cascading chain of knowledge and perspective is created. Every Tuesday, new episodes of Podcast 360 will be released on all podcasting services, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Pocket Casts.

Donald Albright, president and co-founder of TenderfootTV, Shira Atkins, chief revenue officer and co-founder of Wonder Media Network, James Cridland, editor and podcaster of Podnews, Dan Misener, co-founder of Bumper, Sharon Taylor, senior vice president of podcast strategy and product operations at Triton Digital, and Fatima Zaidi, CEO and founder of Quill, are among the guests and hosts on the Podcast 360. To be announced are additional guests/hosts and an episode schedule.

The idea behind Podcast 360 "reflects TPA's efforts to foster accessibility to new podcast enthusiasts and create a more equitable environment for independent creators."

The 2024 Awards for Excellence in Audio (The Ambies®), which are open now through September 15, have also announced an early bird call for entries ($150 per submission for members & $200 for nonmembers). Beginning on September 16 and running through November 17 is the regular call for entries ($200 for members and $250 for nonmembers). On March 26, 2024, in Los Angeles, the 2024 Ambies will honour the nominees in 27 categories, including the recently added Best Indie Podcast Host or Hosts category.
