On International Podcast Day this year, PodOps is proud to announce the creation of PodProsper, a new kind of nonprofit that will help independent podcasters and creators. PodProsper is a true labour of love that gives podcasters of all levels access to a community of resources, mentorship, and financial help to help them do well in the ever-growing world of podcasting.
“We’re committed to helping independent podcasters turn their passion into sustainable careers,” said Rob Winters, founder of PodProsper and PodOps. “With PodProsper, we’re building a community that not only celebrates creativity but also offers tangible support for creators to break through and thrive.”
The first big endeavor of PodProsper will be Pod All Night Athon, a 24-hour event featuring live podcast challenges, educational sessions, and more. The inaugural Pod All Night Athon will culminate on International Podcast Day 2025 with a virtual award ceremony, after bringing together podcasters from around the globe for a fun and competitive marathon of podcast creation.
“Pod All Night Athon gives creators an opportunity to showcase their work in a dynamic and fluid setting,” continued Winters. “Competitors will have 24 hours to put out their best product while also participating in a series of innovative challenges designed to test their storytelling skills, technical prowess, and adaptability.”
PodProsper is also thrilled to announce its founding partners, who have shown their commitment to supporting creators. Podcast Movement, HOLLYLAND, PodFest, Podopolo, and PowerUP Productions are the first in a growing list of partners who believe in the mission to elevate the podcast industry and foster an environment where independent voices can thrive.
PodProsper aims to:
• Support Creators: PodProsper is dedicated to empowering podcasters by providing financial assistance to cover event fees, travel costs, and accommodations, making it easier for creators to attend industry-leading conferences and workshops.
• Raise Funds for Creators: Through fundraising efforts, PodProsper aims to provide grants that cover essential hardware and software needs, ensuring that creators have the tools they need to produce high-quality content.
• Provide Mentorship Opportunities: We partner with industry professionals to connect creators with mentors who offer guidance, feedback, and strategic advice to help them grow their skills and expand their reach.
• Become a Creative Hub: Our ultimate goal is to establish a physical studio space in Baltimore, where creators can gather to learn, record, and teach—completely free of charge, fostering a collaborative environment for podcasters of all levels.
• Focus on Accessibility: PodProsper is committed to eliminating barriers for podcasters by providing resources, educational opportunities, and mentorship, allowing them to thrive regardless of their financial situation or experience level.
PodProsper is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting independent podcasters and creators through mentorship, resources, and financial aid. With the goal of providing podcasters with the tools they need to excel, PodProsper aims to create a thriving community of creators who can share their stories, expand their influence, and build sustainable careers.
