The only place where there is always too much crime is on a podcast; LiSTNR now takes you further.

The new ground-breaking podcast series Crime Insiders from LiSTNR, which has a reputation for producing engrossing Australian crime podcasts, takes listeners beyond true crime and into the actual experience of people who are trying to solve crimes and analyse crime scenes.

The twice-weekly podcast, which consists of the two show formats Crime Insiders: Detectives and Crime Insiders: Forensics, includes episodes from people involved in crime scene investigations and other branches of law enforcement. The end result is a groundbreaking series of interviews with renowned professionals who have spent years attempting to solve crimes.

Any closer and you would already be there.

Brent Sanders, a former police officer and the author of the widely read book How Dangerous Men Think, serves as the host of Crime Insiders: Detectives. Sanders worked in riot control, looked into sexual assault cases, and researched the tactics and psychology of rapists while a member of the police force. He now works as a full-time educator, drawing on his background in research and policing to instruct both men and women in personal and psychological safety and self-defense. He also travels around Australia giving presentations at colleges and universities, raising awareness of sexual crimes among young people, and advancing the dialogue on consent and social safety.

Sanders' goal with this podcast is to share the experiences of people working in various branches of law enforcement, including their insights into the difficulties of trying to solve their most difficult cases and the safety advice they wish the public knew.

The former head of Taskforce Argos, Jon Rouse, who also appears in LiSTNR's internationally acclaimed podcast series, Disclosed: The Children in the Pictures, is one of the guests Sanders speaks with. Other guests include homicide detective David Plumpton.

The mysterious crime author, screenwriter, and former general practitioner with a forensic focus Kathryn Fox is the host of Crime Insiders: Forensics. Fox engaged in training and challenges that improved how she could care for crime victims throughout her career as a practising general practitioner. She developed relationships with murderers, victims, police, psychopaths, lawyers, and prisoners for her research as a crime author, which pushed her further into understanding and capturing criminal behaviour.

With this podcast, Fox wants to get rid of the romance and gore surrounding forensics and focus on the science behind crime scenes and the people who can decipher it. Adrian Linacre, an authority on blood spatter, David Ranson, a specialist in identifying disaster victims, and toxicologist Dimitri Gerostamolous are three of these guests.
