Overview of the Role
Join our team as a part-time Podcast Relations Manager. We’re on the hunt for a digital matchmaker who is interested in supporting our team and clients by crafting pitch lists tailored to our clients’ needs, maintaining and optimizing our extensive podcast database and forming deep connections with podcast hosts.
While we have a number of internal and external resources available to help you draft pitch lists, a willingness to uncover new-to-us podcasts and outreach to hosts will make you successful in this role.
This is a part-time, remote employee position whose workload will likely fall between 15-20 hours/week, with room to grow both in hours and responsibilities. As this is a new role on the team, we’re looking for someone who is a self-starter, works well in a start-up environment and thrives on creating solutions to meet goals.
A typical day
In this role, you’ll be working with our Account Manager, Outreach Exec, Client Admin, and podcast hosts. This role is an integral part in exceeding our clients’ expectations while maintaining and growing our reputation of excellence in the podcast pitching space.
You will report directly to the Account Manager.
Job functions include:
Work with your Account Manager to fully understand the strategic goals of clients you support so you can draft an aligned pitch list.
Use our internal and external databases to find and screen podcasts to add to our clients’ pitch lists.
Research and vet new shows on behalf of our clients.
Develop and implement a strategy for outreaching to our extensive network of podcast hosts to develop a deeper relationship with them through email and/or social media.
Develop and implement a strategy for outreaching to hosts who aren’t already in our network to develop a deeper relationship with them through email and/or social media.
Client load will range between 6-8 clients per month.
Pitch lists will range in size from 15-20 shows/client/month.
Participate in monthly pod meetings to collaborate client pitching strategies.
Meet or exceed the following targets:
80% of the shows on each pitch list will meet our best fit criteria.
Work with the client pod team to collectively achieve 3-4 acceptances per month, per client.
Other responsibilities may include:
Support Jumpstart Consulting clients by curating customized pitch lists and pitch assets.
Support Prep My Pitch List clients by curating customized pitch lists.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in podcast production, podcast pitching, copywriting, marketing, or PR/media.
Experience with database management or working with spreadsheets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to creatively and strategically define podcast criteria to meet our client needs.
Ability to update, monitor, and grow a large database with multiple custom fields.
Comfort with or willingness to learn ClickUp as a project management system and database.
Eagerness to gain feedback on work and apply it in order to improve future performance.
Access to a high-speed internet and distraction-free workspace for team and client calls
Must be based in the US and available during daytime hours

Willingness to ‘own’ the pitch list, database, and host relationships parts of the business.
The ability to proactively share and implement solutions that optimize our systems, processes, and databases.
Experience with email marketing/outreach.
Experience with online/social media networking.

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $20-25/hour with quarterly profit sharing
Anticipated Start Date: August 14th
Paid sick leave after 90 days of employment
We are a fully remote team and, outside of being available, with notice, for Monday team meetings and as needed client pod calls, your schedule is negotiable.
