As determined by Triton's Podcast Metrics measurement service, the U.S. Podcast Ranker for the April 2024 reporting period (April 1, 2024 – April 28, 2024) was released today by Triton Digital®, the global technology and services provider to the digital audio, podcast, and broadcast radio industries. With 40.5 million average weekly downloads and 13.8 million average weekly users for the month of April, SiriusXM Podcast Network maintained its #1 position on the Top Sales Networks Report. With 25.6 million average weekly downloads and 7.0 million average weekly users, NPR ranked #2 once more. Wondery, with 20.7 million average weekly downloads and 7.2 million average weekly users, came in third. According to downloads, NPR News Now (NPR) ranked #1 for this reporting period, Up First (NPR) rose to #2, and Crime Junkie (audiochuck) ranked #3. The top three podcasts according to listeners were Up First (NPR) at #3, Crime Junkie (audiochuck) at #2, and NPR News Now (NPR) at #1. April saw two debuts: Murder in the Hollywood Hills (NBCUniversal News Group) made its debut for both listeners and downloads, and Smosh Reads Reddit Stories (The Roost Podcast Network) made its debut for listeners. In compliance with IAB Podcast Technical Measurement Guidelines v2.1, the Average Weekly Downloads and Average Weekly Users are used to rank the Top Sales Network Reports. Content creators and owners as well as sales representation companies are members of participating sales networks.

Triton's Podcast Metrics, which has been certified by the IAB Tech Lab, does away with self-reported data and inconsistent measurement techniques, giving verified and transparent podcast audience data to marketers, media buyers, content creators, and the audio industry as a whole.
