"SiriusXM Retains Top Spot in Triton Digital's U.S. Podcast Ranker for August 2023"

The U.S. Podcast Ranker for the August 2023 reporting period (July 31, 2023 - September 3, 2023) has been published by Triton Digital®, the global technology and services provider to the digital audio, podcast, and broadcast radio industries, according to Triton's Podcast Metrics measurement service.
With 53.4M average weekly downloads and 14.0M average weekly users, the SiriusXM Podcast Network maintained its top ranking on the Top Sales Networks Report for the month of August. With 36.4M Average Weekly Downloads and 8.7M Average Weekly Users, Wondery ranked second once more, followed by NPR at #3 with 31.8M Average Weekly Downloads and 6.4M Average Weekly Users.
Based on downloads, the top three podcasts for this reporting period were NPR News Now (again, NPR), Crime Junkie (again, audiochuck), and Dateline NBC (again, NBCUniversal News Group).
The top three podcasts for listeners were Crime Junkie (audiochuck) at number one once more, Dateline NBC (NBCUniversal News Group) at number two once more, and Up First (NPR) moving up to number three.
Over My Dead Body (Wondery) for listeners and downloads, Prosecuting Donald Trump (NBCUniversal News Group) for downloads, and H3 Podcast (The Roost Podcast Network) for listeners were the three debuts for this reporting period.
According to version 2.1 of the IAB Podcast Technical Measurement Guidelines, the Top Sales Network Reports are ranked by Average Weekly Downloads and Average Weekly Users. Owners/creators of content and sales representation organisations are examples of Participating Sales Networks. Triton's Podcast Metrics, which have been approved by the IAB Tech Lab, do away with erratic measurement techniques and self-reported data, giving content producers, marketers, media buyers, and the entire audio industry verified and open access to podcast audience data.
