Backtracks (backtracks.fm) was an Austin, Texas-based podcast analytics and advertising technology platform founded in 2016. It positioned itself as the world’s most advanced podcast analytics and hosting platform, offering IAB-certified metrics, fraud detection, contextual programmatic advertising, and a customizable embeddable podcast player. The platform served audio publishers, advertisers, and podcast aggregators with a privacy-preserving, API-first approach to audience measurement.

Key capabilities included Backtracks Switchboard™ for host-agnostic analytics, native SDKs for iOS, Android, and React Native, and Backtracks Charts™ — a searchable index of podcast content.
