CBeebies Parenting Helpline Returns for Fourth Season

TV personality Holly Hagan-Blyth and BBC Radio 1 presenter Charlie Hedges are back for the fourth season of their popular CBeebies Parenting Helpline podcast, launching Thursday, April 2nd on BBC Sounds and all major podcast platforms.

Tackling Sensitive Parenting Topics

The new season promises to be the most vulnerable yet, addressing challenging parenting issues including grief and loss, same-sex parenting, miscarriage, parenting neurodiverse children, and regaining body confidence after childbirth. The hosts will be joined by expert guests Dr. Frankie Harrison and Shaheda Yasmeen-Khan to provide professional guidance on these sensitive topics.

“This is our most vulnerable season yet as we take on a range of topics that really cover the highs and lows of parenting,” says Charlie Hedges. “Discussing topics around grief and loss and navigating same-sex parenting to helping listeners dive into the chaos and reignite imagination with their kids, this series will connect with every parent out there.”

Celebrity Guests and Real Parent Stories

Season 4 features an impressive lineup of celebrity guests, including Kelsey Parker, comedians Hannah East and Louise Boyce, content creators Caitlin Bridget and Leah Joseph, and author Anna Whitehouse. The series will also include real questions from listeners and celebrity parents such as Ferne McCann, Ollie Locke, and Scarlett Moffat.

Holly Hagan-Blyth emphasizes the season’s approach: “More than ever before, we are tackling really sensitive subjects in this new season. Speaking on our own experiences and with our amazing guests and experts, we hope our listeners will take away really valuable advice and tips to feel supported and know they aren’t in this alone.”

Multi-Platform Availability

Episodes will be released weekly on BBC Sounds and all other podcast platforms starting April 2nd. For those who prefer a visual experience, the podcast will also be available on BBC iPlayer. The show is produced by Bite Your Tongue Production for CBeebies Parenting.

The podcast continues its mission to provide a supportive, judgment-free space for parents, offering both practical tips and compassionate guidance for the various challenges of parenthood. From fostering imaginative play with children to navigating complex emotional situations, CBeebies Parenting Helpline aims to help parents feel seen, heard, and understood.
