This live, interactive workshop explores how podcasters can leverage newsletters as a powerful tool for audience engagement and growth. Rather than treating newsletters as a trendy “growth hack,” instructor Arielle Nissenblatt demonstrates how they function as a sustainable strategy for reaching listeners, deepening relationships, and building direct connections with audiences that exist beyond the constraints of algorithmic platforms.
Attendees will gain practical insights grounded in real-world examples from podcasts of all sizes. The curriculum covers essential topics including whether a newsletter is necessary for your show, selecting the right email service provider and communication cadence, discovering realistic subscriber acquisition strategies, overcoming writer’s block when creating content, establishing consistency between newsletters and podcast episodes, and leveraging newsletters to support growth, retention, monetization, and community building. The workshop also addresses common pitfalls that podcasters encounter when launching their first newsletter.
This class is designed for podcasters who already produce a show and want to develop deeper expertise in marketing, audience relationships, and long-term growth strategies. No prior newsletter experience, finished platform selection, or polished business plan is required to participate. The intimate workshop is capped at 30 participants to ensure meaningful discussion and light interactive participation.
Arielle Nissenblatt brings extensive industry experience to the instruction, serving as Head of Community and Content at Pinwheel by Audily, founder of EarBuds Podcast Collective, and Board member at The Podcast Academy. A 2026 Podcast Hall of Fame inductee, she has taught and spoken at major industry events including Podcast Movement, Radiodays, On Air Fest, and AdWeek. She also hosts two podcasts and leads storytelling-focused walking tours through New York City.
The workshop is priced at $75 and is non-refundable. Classes will not be recorded, making real-time attendance essential for participants who wish to engage with the instructor and fellow podcasters.
