Nine is seeking a Casual Broadcast Engineer to provide technical support for 6PR, one of Perth’s leading talk radio stations. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for an audio or broadcast engineering professional looking for flexible work within a major media organisation.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of broadcast and IT systems at 6PR, supporting live on-air programming and managing technical incidents as they arise.
- Provide prompt technical support for 6PR broadcast and IT systems
- Manage and resolve incidents via service delivery ticketing systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot broadcast infrastructure including transmission equipment
- Support live on-air broadcasts and ensure continuity of service
- Work collaboratively with editorial and production teams to resolve technical issues quickly
- Assist with equipment maintenance, upgrades, and installations as required
The ideal candidate will have experience in broadcast engineering or a related technical field, familiarity with radio broadcast systems and IT infrastructure, and the ability to work calmly under pressure in a live media environment. Flexible availability, including outside standard business hours, is important for this casual role.
