About the Role

Goalhanger, one of the UK’s most exciting independent media companies, is seeking a creative, narrative-focused Junior Video Editor to help grow their YouTube content. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a demonstrated commitment to video editing, even without professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form clips for social media release and assist senior editors on full-length YouTube episodes, specials, and trailers
  • Source and integrate B-roll, captions, and graphics into video content
  • Collaborate with producers and the production team to deliver polished content
  • Work with both studio and remote-sourced footage
  • Partner with Social Producers to create YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram clips
  • Incorporate feedback quickly and accurately into edits
  • Maintain organised workflows and meet tight deadlines

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition
  • Demonstrated passion for editing engaging visual content
  • Strong eye for pacing, storytelling, and narrative tone
  • Familiarity with editing content for social media platforms
  • Understanding of viewer retention and engagement techniques
  • Confidence in cleaning up audio and visual elements
  • Organised, fast, and reliable work style
