About the Role

As a Podcast Producer on Google’s Global Communications & Public Affairs editorial team, you will work on creating and producing podcast content that reflects the Google voice and brand. You will collaborate with Google executives and teams across the company to develop engaging audio content spanning product areas, regions, corporate news, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end podcast production workflows for recurring series
  • Produce audio content specifically tailored for digital and social media platforms
  • Manage guest relationships and conduct research for interviews
  • Collaborate with executives and teams across the company on content strategy
  • Work with freelance editors and technical subject-matter experts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in podcast production, including managing end-to-end workflows for a recurring series
  • Experience producing audio or video content specifically tailored for digital and social media platforms
  • Experience managing guest relationships and conducting research for interviews

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical experience with audio/video engineering (e.g., mic placement, lighting, remote recording software like Riverside/Zencastr)
  • Experience in short-form video editing and understanding of vertical video trends and algorithms
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro and Audition) or equivalent industry-standard DAWs and NLEs
  • Proficiency with sound mixing, color correction, and creating basic motion graphics/thumbnails
  • Ability to manage and art direct freelance editors and technical subject-matter experts
  • Ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments
