About the Role

New Frontiers in Functional Medicine is seeking an experienced Podcast Producer to support a globally recognized clinical education platform led by Dr. Kara Fitzgerald. Our podcast serves clinicians and healthcare professionals advancing functional and longevity medicine. This is a dynamic role that encompasses production, editing, content development, and platform management for a professional podcast serving the functional medicine community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend 2 live virtual podcast recordings (Riverside) with possibility of adding more sessions
  • Manage recording logistics and ensure high-quality audio/video capture with real-time troubleshooting
  • Edit full-length podcast episodes (audio + video) from raw recording to final cut with professional-level sound design and visual consistency
  • Integrate intro/outro, sponsor placements, branding elements, and lower-thirds as needed
  • Create polished highlight reels for each episode
  • Reformat and optimize full episodes for YouTube with titles, descriptions, timestamps, and coordinate thumbnail creation
  • Edit and clean podcast transcripts for clarity and accuracy
  • Write and format show notes summarizing key topics, timestamps, guest information, and relevant links
  • Cut multiple short-form clips and reels from each episode with captions and visual overlays
  • Deliver final assets in platform-specific formats (YouTube, Instagram, podcast host, website)
  • Collaborate with marketing team on campaign direction and interview question development
  • Conduct background research on guests to shape thoughtful discussion topics
  • Prepare structured question outlines to ensure clear narrative flow
  • Support guest coordination and scheduling in collaboration with team
  • Support transition from SoundCloud to new podcast hosting platform
  • Manage uploads and distribution across audio and video platforms
  • Monitor episode performance metrics and maintain publishing schedule
  • Attend weekly Monday team meetings and communicate effectively within global remote environment

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Podcast Producer or similar audio/video production role
  • Proficiency with podcast editing software and video editing platforms
  • Strong technical knowledge of audio engineering, sound design, and optimization
  • Experience with platform distribution and podcast hosting systems
  • Excellent written communication and content curation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Familiarity with functional medicine or health/wellness content is a plus
