A leading public media organisation in Auckland, New Zealand is seeking a talented Producer with expertise in storytelling and audio production to join their Series & Podcasts team. This is an excellent opportunity to shape compelling audio narratives for a broad and engaged audience.
In this role, you will take ownership of podcast series and long-form audio productions from concept through to delivery, working in a collaborative editorial environment with experienced journalists and content creators.
- Develop, pitch, and produce original podcast series and audio content
- Oversee all stages of production including research, scripting, recording, and editing
- Manage contributors, guests, and talent throughout the production process
- Ensure editorial standards and audience relevance are maintained
- Collaborate with digital and marketing teams to maximise audience reach
- Contribute to the organisation’s strategy for growing podcast audiences
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio storytelling, podcast production, or broadcast journalism, with a proven ability to deliver engaging long-form content. Experience working within a public media environment is advantageous.
