What is Airtape
Airtape is a browser-based recording studio for podcasts, interviews and
screen recordings. Unlike cloud recorders, Airtape records every participant
locally on their own device — uncompressed at 48 kHz/24-bit, with a clean,
separate track per speaker. Guests need neither an account nor an
installation: they click the link and they are in. If a guest’s connection
drops for a moment, their recording keeps running, so there is no gap in the
file; tracks are synchronised in the background. After the conversation you get
separate audio and video tracks ready to download, straight into your DAW.
Built and hosted in the EU, GDPR-compliant, with no tracking and no data
selling. Free for up to 2 recording hours per month, Creator €12 (€10 billed
annually), Studio €29 (€24 billed annually) — guests always join for free.

What makes Airtape unique
Airtape differentiates itself through local recording architecture where each participant's audio and video is captured directly on their device and stored locally before upload, protecting against internet connectivity issues that typically damage recordings on cloud-based platforms. This approach, combined with browser-based guest access requiring no software installation, targets creators who prioritize recording reliability and post-production quality over meeting-focused features.
