This page explains how to delete your Podwires account and the data attached to
it. Podwires is operated by Kangaroofern Media Lab Pty Ltd.
HOW TO REQUEST DELETION
Email info@kangaroofern.com from the email address on your Podwires account,
with the subject line “Delete my account”.
You do not need to give a reason. If you email from a different address, we will
ask you to confirm from the account address before we act, so that nobody else
can close your account.
We will confirm by email once it is done. Allow up to 30 days, though it is
usually much faster.
WHAT GETS DELETED
– Your account and login details
– Your producer or client profile, including your name, bio, photo, links, and
the location you added
– Your posts, comments and replies in community spaces
– Your direct messages
– Your job applications and saved jobs
– Any files or images you uploaded
WHAT WE KEEP, AND FOR HOW LONG
– Records of transactions, for seven years, because Australian tax law requires
it. These contain your name and the amount paid, not your profile.
– Email suppression records, kept indefinitely, so that we do not email you
again by accident after you have left.
– Backups, which are overwritten on a rolling 30-day cycle. Your data will
remain in a backup for up to 30 days after deletion and is not restored to the
live site.
DELETING SOME DATA WITHOUT CLOSING YOUR ACCOUNT
If you only want part of your data removed — a single post, your location, your
photo — you can edit or delete most of it yourself in the app, or email us at
the address above and ask.
