Well, It Depends is launching a month-long asynchronous challenge designed to help podcasters improve their hosting abilities through daily prompts and peer accountability, beginning July 1.

The 30-Day Podcast Power-Up Challenge offers participants one prompt per day for 30 days, with each exercise designed to take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete. Participants receive prompts via email each morning, with the same prompt simultaneously posted to a dedicated Slack channel where members can optionally share their work and receive accountability from fellow podcasters. The challenge is free to join and requires no scheduled video calls, Zoom meetings, or formal syllabus.

The challenge is structured around four weekly themes. Week 1 focuses on craft sharpening, with prompts addressing cover art, show opens, ad transitions, and cross-promotion lead-ins. Week 2 concentrates on audience growth strategies, including pitching oneself as a guest, finding collaboration partners, running cross-promotions, and submitting shows to podcast listening apps and newsletters. Week 3 addresses monetization, covering sponsor outreach, rate card development, and success measurement. Week 4 emphasizes momentum maintenance, with prompts centered on system setup, future planning, and creating social media recaps of findings.

By the conclusion of the 30-day period, participants are expected to have developed a sharper cold open and tighter editing workflow, completed at least one real cross-promotion or guest pitch, created a sponsor one-pager, and accumulated documentation of their progress throughout the month. According to the event description, 217 podcasters have already signed up for the challenge.

Well, It Depends, the organizer, describes itself as an events platform for digital creators. The challenge is designed specifically for podcasters with existing shows rather than those in the planning stages. Participants must register in advance to receive email confirmations and Slack invitations. By signing up, participants are automatically subscribed to Well It Depends updates, though they may unsubscribe at any time. Those with additional questions are directed to contact Arielle at arielle@wellitdependslabs.com.
