The International Women’s Podcast Awards, now presented by Tink Media, has opened submissions for its 2026 ceremony, celebrating the creativity, innovation and impact of women podcast creators across genres and geographies. The awards recognize exceptional moments of audio brilliance from hosts, producers, editors and writers, with the ceremony scheduled for autumn in Toronto, Canada.
The International Women’s Podcast Awards have emerged as a cornerstone event in the audio industry, championing women creators both in front of and behind the microphone. According to organizers, entries in 2025 came from 35 different countries, evaluated by a panel of judges consisting of podcasters, journalists and experienced audio professionals. The awards are proudly queer and trans inclusive, accepting submissions from independently produced shows, solo podcasts and large-scale productions alike.
Unlike traditional awards programs that emphasize download numbers or genre classification, the IWPAs focus exclusively on exceptional moments of audio brilliance. Submissions can include up to 10 minutes of audio from a single episode, with entries judged on their creative excellence rather than commercial metrics. The awards recognize work across multiple categories including “Moment of Absolute Honesty,” “Moment of Comedy Gold,” “Moment of Factual Clarity” and “Moment of Compelling Storytelling,” among others.
A new category added for 2026 is “Moment of Artistry in Advertising,” recognizing creative approaches to podcast promotion and sponsorship integration. The awards also include categories specifically honoring behind-the-scenes work, visionary leadership, pure emotion and podcasting in languages other than English, with entries in the latter category requiring English-language transcripts for judge evaluation.
Tink Media has assumed hosting duties for the 2026 awards with an expanded reach and new branding while maintaining the event’s founding purpose. The organization noted that the awards treat all submissions equally, whether from self-taught solo creators or established audio companies with large teams. The submission window opened in 2026 and extends through July 31st, 2026.
Eligible audio must have been released publicly between June 10th, 2025 and July 31st, 2026. Organizers emphasized that unreleased material will not be eligible for consideration. The awards accept submissions from podcasts of any genre or style, including fiction, non-fiction, narrative, interview, panel discussion and investigative formats.
Tink Media operates as a podcast marketing and growth consultancy, offering services in discovery, marketing consultations and advertising placement. The organization represents clients across multiple podcast categories and maintains a newsletter and resource platform for creators seeking to expand their reach and audience engagement in the competitive audio market.
The International Women’s Podcast Awards represent a significant recognition opportunity for podcast creators seeking validation and visibility in an industry increasingly focused on diverse voices and innovative storytelling approaches. Industry observers note that awards focused on creative excellence rather than audience size provide important recognition for emerging and independent creators who may lack the promotional infrastructure of larger production companies.
