ABC News Podcast Production Intern, Summer/Fall 2026

Join the podcast team at ABC News as a Podcast Production Intern! This role is an exciting opportunity to work with a small but dynamic team that produces and publishes podcasts in the genres of news and true crime. You will gain hands-on experience with popular shows like “Start Here,” “The View: Behind the Table,” and true crime programming under the 20/20 brand.

About the Role: This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment from June 2026 through January 2027, requiring 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday). You will be involved in both creative and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist producers with recording studio sessions, setup, and breakdown
  • Research competitor programming for marketing purposes
  • Aggregate analytics data on podcast performance
  • Identify exciting clips from new releases for social media distribution
  • Participate in collaborative brainstorming for podcast launches
  • Research prospective podcast sponsors and quality-check ad recordings
  • Participate in editorial meetings for news, true crime, and chat shows

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in news
  • Familiarity with and interest in the true crime genre
  • Experience using audio editing software (Adobe Audition, ProTools, or Audacity)
  • Keen interest in a career in podcasts, either in production or business
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university or Disney College Program participant
  • At least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in journalism, television, news media production, or script writing
  • Avid consumer/creator of podcasts
