About the Role
Join our award-winning podcast team at History Hit as an Assistant Producer (Video Podcasts). If you love history, storytelling, and audio production, this is a unique opportunity to help create engaging content and grow our audience. We are seeking a highly organised and creative Assistant Producer to join our dynamic podcast team in the heart of Shoreditch. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history and storytelling, with proven experience in audio production, research, and guest management. You will play a crucial role in planning, developing, and executing compelling podcast episodes, working closely with producers and presenters to deliver high-quality content that engages and expands our audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Video Producer and production team on editorial planning for filmed podcasts (3 episodes per week)
- Arrange recording location set-up, booking and logistics with Production Manager
- Perform tech-calls for remote guests when necessary
- Oversee on-location filmed podcast filming days independently and with production team
- Manage delivery and storage of recording day files
- Conduct compliance and quality checks for filmed podcasts (3 episodes released weekly)
- Maintain shared project tracker in Asana
- Provide assistance to talent on recording days

- Proven experience in audio production and podcast creation
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Experience with guest research and talent management
- Passion for history and storytelling
- Technical proficiency with recording and file management systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams
