Associate Video Producer, Podcast Video

POLITICO is seeking an associate producer for podcast video to join our growing audio and video team. We have a strong and growing portfolio of video podcasts, and we’re adding a producer/editor to our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce filmed podcast episodes into polished, engaging YouTube shows, incorporating graphics, b-roll, archival footage and other visual elements that enhance storytelling
  • Create compelling clips and highlights from podcast episodes for YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms
  • Collaborate closely with podcast hosts, producers and the video team to shape the visual identity and editorial quality of POLITICO’s video content
  • Take multi-camera podcast recordings and shape them into polished, engaging episodes that keep audiences watching
  • Work flexible hours, with some daily production taking place outside conventional work hours in the evening

  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects while maintaining high visual and editorial standards
  • Curious, observant and quick to spot the moments, reactions and exchanges that make great video
  • Audience-minded, with an instinct for growing loyal YouTube and social audiences
  • Collaborative by nature and proactive about communicating across teams
  • Strong video editing skills with excellent technical proficiency
