Audience & Marketing Manager, Podcasts

The Audience & Marketing Manager will lead marketing strategy to drive listener growth for TED’s podcasts, optimize audience engagement, manage media budgets, and analyze performance data. This temporary grant-sponsored position supports TED’s mission to discover and spread ideas that spark imagination and catalyze impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for priority TED podcasts
  • Utilize and optimize growth tools including audio cross-promotions, feed drops, host guest swaps, PR, paid media, newsletter, social media and web
  • Manage paid media budget and develop strategy for social media, YouTube and Search placements
  • Define audiences, messaging and channel strategy to reach target listeners
  • Build and iterate growth roadmap informed by data, experimentation and audience insights
  • Partner with PR teams and external partners for press outreach and cultural moments
  • Serve as key connection between marketing, editorial, production, PR, analytics and platform partners
  • Assess campaign performance and develop performance recaps with actionable insights
  • Support launches, campaigns and key brand moments across TED podcasts

Requirements

  • Experience with marketing strategy and audience growth
  • Proficiency with analytics and data-driven decision making
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with podcast marketing or audio content preferred

This is a temporary position with a tentative start date of April 1, 2026, and end date of May 31, 2028.
