Audio Editor/Producer (Radio + Podcast)
We’re seeking an experienced Audio Editor/Producer to support the production of a financial education radio show. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly independent audio professional who can transform raw recordings into polished, broadcast-quality content while exercising strong editorial judgment and managing deadlines with minimal oversight.
Position Details
- Location: Remote
- Duration: 4 Months
- Start Date: ASAP (must be available by August 3)
- Hours: Approximately 3 hours per show per week (Monday and Tuesday), plus 5-8 hours onboarding
- Schedule: Weekly recordings provided around 12:15 PM CT Mondays; final edited episode due by 5:00 PM CT Tuesdays
Key Responsibilities
- Edit recorded audio segments to ensure clarity, pacing, flow, and appropriate length
- Apply strong editorial judgment to determine content selection and segment structure
- Enhance audio quality by removing background noise, clicks, pops, volume inconsistencies, and imperfections
- Assemble complete episodes using provided intros, outros, music beds, and show elements
- Deliver professional-quality audio content meeting radio and podcast production standards
- Manage weekly production deadlines and maintain consistent communication with stakeholders
- Proactively identify potential production challenges and recommend solutions
Requirements
- Professional experience as Audio Producer, Podcast Producer, Radio Producer, or similar role
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Audition
- Demonstrated expertise in audio editing, mixing, and post-production techniques
- Experience producing finished audio programs from raw recordings
- Strong editorial instincts and ability to make independent content decisions
- Experience in deadline-driven production environments
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Prior radio show production experience required
