About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to support the create of advertising animatics and audio presentations. This is a fully remote position but candidates must be available to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours and be flexible per project needs. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Pro Tools, possess strong audio post-production skills and be capable of independently handling projects from initial audio assembly through final mix delivery. 

Responsibilities

Audio Post-Production & Mixing 

  • Edit dialogue, music, and sound effects for advertising/broadcast animatics
  • Mix for balance, EQ, compression, and overall polish
  • Deliver final mixes meeting industry loudness standards and client/platform specs

Sound Design

  • Create sound design for animatics and presentations
  • Source, edit, and layer sound effects to support storytelling and timing

Voiceover Production

  • Record and edit scratch voice tracks
  • Sync VO performances to picture and animatic timing
  • Work with AI voice generation platforms
  • Direct and record voice talent (plus, often via Source-Connect for remote sessions)

Music Editing

  • Search for and select appropriate music
  • Edit, restructure, and build tracks to fit creative/timing needs

Session & Project Management

  • Organize and manage Pro Tools sessions (routing, automation, file management)
  • Handle projects independently from initial assembly through final delivery
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Troubleshoot and manage remote recording workflows

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Pro Tools with working knowledge of these plugins: FabFilter Pro-Q/FabFilter Pro-C/FabFilter Pro-R, Waves TruVerb, Waves L2 Ultramaximizer, iZotope Insight, Wavesfactory Trackspacer, Source Connect/Source-Nexus.
  • Experience recording voice talent via Source Connect is preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of session organization, editing workflows, routing, automation and file management.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced production environments with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to deliver mixes that meet client and platform specifications.
  • Familiarity with remote recording workflows, troubleshooting and session management. 
  • Understanding of loudness standards and audio metering.
  • Experience editing dialogue, music, and sound effects for advertising, broadcast or similar media.
  • Strong understanding of mix balance, EQ, compression, limiting, and overall audio polish.
  • Experience sourcing, editing, and layering sound effects to enhance storytelling and timing.
  • Experience recording and editing scratch voice tracks.
  • Ability to synchronize voice over performances to picture and animatic timing.
  • Familiarity with AI voice generation platforms and workflows.
  • Strong music search and selection skills.
  • Understanding of musical timing, transitions, and emotional pacing.
  • Experience directing voice talent is a plus.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $35,000-$38,000. The actual compensation package will be based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
