Job Description
Augustine Institute Studios is seeking an audio engineer with recording skills and high-level
craftsmanship, coupled with superior editing chops. Please submit a resume and reel that
features a good sampling of your current stylistic sensibilities and technical
competencies.
Seeking a self-motivated production expert who can push projects over the finish line with
a high-level of competency. Experienced editing competencies, with an ear for story,
understanding of the content to relay what is necessary, and a desire to work with our
award-winning creative Catholic film and audio team. This role will help bring high-quality
Catholic media to life through the Amen App, audio dramas, podcasts, audiobooks,
music, educational content, and other audio projects.
The Audio Engineer will play a key role throughout the audio production process—from
recording and editing to sound design, mixing, mastering, and final delivery. The ideal
candidate combines strong technical expertise with a creative ear, exceptional attention to
detail, and a passion for using the craft of audio storytelling to serve the mission of the
Augustine Institute.
A strong understanding of Catholicism is a must; a faithful Catholic identity is a plus. You
will work under the daily direction of the creative and logistic leads of each project. As with
any non-profit organization, multiple hats will be worn that extend to the wider world of
filmmaking.
This full-time position will work out of the Augustine Institute home office in Florissant,
Missouri.
This is a collaborative role that will work closely with producers, directors, writers, voice
talent, composers, and other members of the Studios team to create engaging, polished,
and technically excellent audio experiences. This role will also collaborate and interact
with the Content team at large, that is to say, work with and contribute to content
development teams, curriculum, and other content partnerships.
