Audio Engineer – Podcast Editing

This role is ideal for an experienced audio engineer with a passion for podcast production. You will be responsible for transforming a podcast pilot from a rough edit and raw audio into a polished, professional final product. The project requires attention to detail, creative audio styling, and the ability to work independently to deliver a high-quality listening experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw podcast audio to achieve a clean, professional sound
  • Apply noise reduction, EQ, compression, and other audio processing as needed
  • Ensure consistent volume levels and clarity throughout the episode
  • Incorporate creative audio styling to match the provided reference
  • Deliver a final, broadcast-ready audio file in the required format
  • Communicate progress and address feedback promptly
  • Manage project files and maintain organized session data

Requirements

  • Proven experience editing podcasts or similar audio content
  • Proficiency with industry-standard audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Audacity, Reaper)
  • Strong understanding of audio mixing, mastering, and restoration techniques
  • Ability to interpret and match a provided style reference
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to audio quality
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Reliable internet connection for file transfers
  • Availability for potential follow-up projects
