About the Role
The Recording Club is seeking an Audio Engineer to support sessions, maintain world-class studio systems, and help deliver a seamless, high-end creative experience for members and clients. This flexible role may be structured as contract or full-time depending on experience, availability, and scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer recording, rehearsal, podcast, livestream, and post-production sessions
- Maintain and troubleshoot studio audio systems, DAW templates, routing, headphones, consoles, and member-facing setups
- Build and maintain plug-and-play studio environments where users can start creating within minutes
- Keep all rooms impeccable—clean, organized, cable-managed, and always session-ready
- Deliver a high-touch, hospitality-driven experience for members and clients
- Create simple, intuitive documentation so systems are easy to use without guidance
- Resolve technical issues quickly and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurrence
- Support integrated audio, video, and lighting workflows across the facility
- Assist with upgrades, installations, inventory, and technical systems development
- Collaborate with staff, contractors, producers, and members to ensure consistently high-quality results
Ideal Candidate
Strong recording engineering skills across Pro Tools, Ableton, and Logic. Excellent live sound and FOH mixing skills, including monitors, consoles, and signal flow. Comfortable with signal flow, patching, consoles, interfaces, headphones, and microphones. You should have a strong bias toward action, taking ownership of studio systems and member experience end-to-end. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and hospitality-minded. Familiarity with AI tools and bonus skills in music production, podcasting, Dolby Atmos, video, lighting, or post-production are valued.
