About the Role
FASTer Way to Fat Loss is seeking a versatile, detail-driven Audio Engineer to elevate the sound quality and consistency of our productions. The Audio Engineer is responsible for the full audio pipeline across all FASTer Way productions, including planning, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, music selection, and sound design. This is an on-site role in Clearwater, Florida, with occasional travel for live shoots and flexibility during peak production cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Production and Recording: Collaborate with producers, videographers, and trainers to define audio needs; select, prepare, and set up microphones, mixers, interfaces, wireless systems, and recording rigs; manage routing, gain staging, and signal flow; record clear, high-quality audio for workouts, trainings, videos, podcasts, and webinars; perform equipment tests prior to sessions and maintain all audio gear
- Post-Production and Editing: Edit and mix multi-track audio using professional DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Adobe Audition; remove unwanted sounds to achieve polished results; apply EQ, compression, gating, and mastering for broadcast-quality dialogue and music; sync and align audio with multi-camera video timelines; maintain organized project files and archives
- Music, Sound Design, and Audio Branding: Select or arrange high-energy music for workouts, intros, promotions, and podcasts; edit music to fit pacing and tone; manage licensing for royalty-free music; create stingers, transitions, and subtle sound effects to enhance storytelling
- Quality Assurance and Equipment Management: Ensure final audio meets loudness standards and plays consistently across devices and platforms; inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot audio equipment; stay current on industry best practices
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with producers, editors, videographers, and trainers to meet project timelines; provide guidance on audio best practices
Requirements
- Proficiency with professional DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Adobe Audition)
- Strong understanding of microphone types, gain staging, and signal flow
- Experience with mixing, mastering, and broadcast-quality audio standards
- Knowledge of music licensing and royalty-free music sources
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
