Role Overview
Mediahuis IRL is seeking a part-time Audio Producer for Just Between Us, a personality-led sex and relationships podcast. This dual-role position combines strong editorial production skills with an active on-air presence, where you’ll shape engaging content and contribute to conversations naturally alongside the host. You’ll work within a dynamic audio team in a busy, deadline-driven environment delivering top-quality content to growing audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of growing podcast listenership by developing content strategy across audio, video, and social media
- Oversee complete production workflow from pre-production, research, and recording through editing to publishing
- Develop creative and innovative ideas for formats, interviews, and features
- Identify and secure contributors for episodes
- Play an active on-air role, contributing regularly with engaging, informed, and audience-aware discussion
- Build strong relationships with presenters and regular contributors
- Provide constructive feedback to presenters and guests
- Collaborate with hosts, guests, and team members to ensure smooth production workflows
- Work closely with sound designers and provide clear direction in post-production
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in podcasting, radio production, or journalism
- Third-level qualification in media/journalism (desirable)
- Portfolio or reel demonstrating audio production work
- Experience in on-air broadcasting or podcasting
- Strong editorial and production skills
- Ability to engage naturally in conversation and contribute meaningfully to content
