About This Role
Following Global’s recent achievement of obtaining official YouTube partner sales status, we are creating a new, high-impact Commercial Video Sales Director position to scale our commercial offering across YouTube video sales. Reporting into the Director of Video Sales, you will be responsible for driving sales of YouTube Podcast video spot inventory across Global’s owned and operated suite of channels, along with partner channels. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven individual to shape a new revenue stream within the business and play a key role in its long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive commercial revenue across video by owning and delivering revenue targets through the sale of YouTube podcast video inventory
- Manage a team of 2x Commercial Video Sales Senior Agency Partners whilst acting as a key commercial contact for agencies and clients
- Manage and build a strong pipeline of sales, positioning YouTube and video podcast output as premium, brand-safe environments and effective media channels
- Aid in the development and selling of compelling, audience-led media packages across video and video podcast inventory
- Work closely with inventory, planning and delivery teams to optimise campaign execution and commercial performance
- Drive inclusion of YouTube spot sales into partnership proposals and win high-value partnerships
- Act as the YouTube and video expert, ensuring all sales teams are up-to-speed on the video landscape and opportunities
What You’ll Need
- Proven track record of prospecting, pitching and closing to deliver against revenue targets
- Strong understanding of YouTube ad formats, audience targeting and the broader digital video ecosystem
- Ability to build and grow trusted relationships with agencies and advertisers
- Confident in pitching ideas and translating data into compelling, client-focused narratives
- Organised and disciplined in pipeline and forecast management with strong CRM hygiene
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across sales, operations and partnerships
