Content Creator / Videographer for Therapist & Podcast Brand

What Triggers You? Podcast is seeking a reliable, creative, and professional content creator based in or near Suffolk County, Long Island, NY to work with a therapist and podcast host on an ongoing basis. This role involves going on-site once per week to a home office or office location in Suffolk County to conceptualize, shoot, and edit short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts/Reels.

We are looking for someone with strong visual taste who understands emotionally resonant, premium-looking content and can help build a distinctive mental health and podcast brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize engaging short-form content ideas based on podcast themes, psychology, relationships, trauma, triggers, ADHD, parenting, and emotional wellness
  • Film short-form video content on-site once per week
  • Edit reels/shorts for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Add tasteful graphics, text overlays, motion elements, branding, and design details that feel elevated and on-brand
  • Cut longer podcast conversations into compelling short clips
  • Deliver edited content to the marketing manager for posting or post directly to social accounts if granted access

Requirements

  • Must provide examples/portfolio of previous short-form video work
  • Strong editing skills and understanding of pacing, hooks, retention, and emotional storytelling
  • Ability to create premium, polished content with no overused or cheap-looking elements
  • Good instincts for content that resonates with women and men in their 30s+
  • Reliable, responsive, organized, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable collaborating with a marketing manager and adapting to feedback
  • Experience filming podcasts, therapists, coaches, experts, or personal brands is a plus
  • Must be able to travel on-site once per week approximately
