About the Role

Join a dynamic indie animation studio as a Sound Designer for an exciting 2D animated movie musical project. This role focuses on crafting immersive soundscapes and editing audio for ‘Thera: The Inverted Planet,’ a production that blends action, comedy, and musical storytelling. You will collaborate closely with animators, composers, and editors to bring vibrant scenes and musical numbers to life, ensuring every sound effect and audio cue enhances the narrative and comedic timing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement original sound effects for action sequences and comedic moments
  • Edit and synchronize audio tracks for musical numbers and dialogue
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure audio aligns with the visual and narrative direction
  • Maintain high-quality audio standards throughout the production process
  • Provide multiple sound effect options for key scenes as requested
  • Participate in regular remote meetings and feedback sessions

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in sound design and audio editing, preferably for animation or musical projects
  • Proficiency with industry-standard audio software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Adobe Audition)
  • Strong musical knowledge and understanding of timing in musical sequences
  • Ability to create and layer sound effects that enhance comedic and action-driven scenes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Availability to work remotely and meet project deadlines
