Digital Video Newsroom Internship

ESPN is offering a professional internship opportunity for an up-and-coming video editor to gain experience in a fast-paced, sports-focused digital video environment. This remote internship (September – December 2026) will involve creating and editing trending sports content for ESPN-branded digital channels domestically and globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify trending game and social moments and translate them into engaging digital video content
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to create and distribute videos
  • Analyze performance metrics to recommend enhancements that improve engagement
  • Manage production timelines to ensure timely project delivery
  • Stay current on latest trends, technology, and best practices
  • Create custom edits and produce digital highlights
  • Work within digital content management systems to organize and publish video assets

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in digital and social media with exposure to video production
  • Proficiency in non-linear editing tools (Premiere, Final Cut, Avid, Quantel, or After Effects)
  • Strong working knowledge of current sports storylines and players
  • Ability to track and interpret social media trends
  • Skilled in headline writing and content packaging
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Currently enrolled in accredited college/university or Disney program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience editing video across multiple social media channels
  • Ability to create and optimize mobile-first content
  • Communications, Journalism, or Sports Media major
