This fully remote role requires a skilled audio editor who can manage both short and long-form podcast episodes, ensuring each release meets high-quality standards for clarity, pacing, and listener engagement. You will play a key part in shaping the final sound of each episode, adapting content for various platforms, and maintaining consistency across all audio deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and assemble raw audio recordings into polished podcast episodes, both short and long form
  • Apply noise reduction, EQ, compression, and other audio processing techniques to enhance sound quality
  • Remove filler words, background noise, and unwanted sections while preserving natural conversation flow
  • Collaborate with content creators to understand episode goals and implement feedback
  • Prepare audio files for distribution across multiple platforms, ensuring format compatibility
  • Maintain organized project files and adhere to established production timelines
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in podcast editing

Requirements

  • Proven experience editing podcasts or similar audio content at a professional level
  • Proficiency with industry-standard audio editing software (Adobe Audition, Audacity, Pro Tools, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of audio post-production, including mixing and mastering for podcasts
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality results
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with podcast distribution platforms and audio file formats
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable home studio setup
