Freelance Audio Editor – Podcast

Key Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble raw audio recordings into polished podcast episodes, both short and long form
- Apply noise reduction, EQ, compression, and other audio processing techniques to enhance sound quality
- Remove filler words, background noise, and unwanted sections while preserving natural conversation flow
- Collaborate with content creators to understand episode goals and implement feedback
- Prepare audio files for distribution across multiple platforms, ensuring format compatibility
- Maintain organized project files and adhere to established production timelines
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in podcast editing
Requirements
- Proven experience editing podcasts or similar audio content at a professional level
- Proficiency with industry-standard audio editing software (Adobe Audition, Audacity, Pro Tools, or similar)
- Strong understanding of audio post-production, including mixing and mastering for podcasts
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality results
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with podcast distribution platforms and audio file formats
