About the Role
Posh Social Co. is seeking a talented Freelance Video Editor to join our growing team. This is a flexible, part-time or contract-based role (with potential to grow) focused on content creation and editing across multiple client accounts. You’ll work closely with our strategist and account management team to execute content for Instagram and TikTok in a fast-moving agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Capture photo and video content during scheduled shoots, film short-form content (Reels, TikToks), and lead energy on set by directing shoots from a content perspective
- Video Editing: Edit short-form video content efficiently and independently, add captions, trending audio, and basic graphics, and deliver polished content on schedule
- Content Organization: Upload and organize all content immediately after shoots and maintain clean file structures and shared folders
- Collaboration: Work from shot lists and content direction provided by strategists, communicate proactively about unclear briefs, and take feedback without friction
- Trend Awareness: Stay current on platform trends for Instagram and TikTok and apply them independently
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven, hands-on experience in social media content creation and video editing (not entry-level)
- Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form video content for brand accounts
- Strong, current understanding of Instagram and TikTok trends
- Proficiency in CapCut, Canva, Lightroom, or similar tools with hands-on Canva experience
- Fast editing capabilities and ability to turn around content efficiently
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and self-managing
- Professional understanding of confidentiality and client representation
- Ability to lead a shoot independently when needed
- AI experience is preferred
