ROLE MISSION

This role will take a 360-degree approach to identifying, researching, pitching, and producing world-class guests for The Diary Of A CEO. As Guest Producer, you will be responsible for ensuring every guest booked on the show has the potential to create a high-impact, culturally relevant, and deeply insightful conversation.

You will combine cultural awareness, editorial instinct, and data-driven research to identify emerging voices, influential thinkers, and high-profile guests who align with the themes and audience of The Diary Of A CEO. Alongside guest strategy, you will contribute to creative storytelling ideas that elevate episodes beyond traditional interviews, helping push the boundaries of what podcasting can be.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational and communication skills, the highest attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding research informed by YouTube, audience behaviour, and digital trends. You will go the extra mile to deliver exceptional outcomes and thrive in a fast-paced environment where excellence and preparation are essential.

KEY OUTCOMES

  • Analyse social, search, and audience trends to help inform guest booking decisions and ensure episodes remain timely, relevant, and engaging.
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential guests ahead of pitching to Steven, including their expertise, background, and alignment with The Diary Of A CEO themes, identifying unique angles that could make episodes stand out.
  • Stay ahead of industry and cultural trends to uncover untapped opportunities for featuring individuals who can bring new ideas and perspectives to the audience.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Support the end-to-end guest booking process, building relationships with guests, agents, and publicists to secure high-quality conversations.
  • Work closely with the research team to develop creative storytelling elements for episodes, including props, imagery, and other visual aids that enhance the conversation.
  • When needed, handle administrative tasks including securing release forms and managing guest documentation.
  • Monitor guest booking processes and contribute recommendations to improve efficiency and the overall guest experience.
  • Identify when episodes may benefit from deeper, documentary-style research that explores complex stories or underrepresented topics.
  • Work with the Head of Research to identify and connect with experts, contributors, and organisations that can strengthen the storytelling within episodes.
  • Conduct outreach to potential collaborators and sources who can provide deeper context and insight into specific topics.
  • Support the development of workflows that allow more in-depth research episodes to be executed efficiently alongside the regular production schedule.

YOU’LL THRIVE HERE IF

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-profile guests and their teams.
  • The ability to analyse social, search, cultural, and audience trends to inform guest strategy and episode relevance.
  • A keen interest in YouTube, digital platforms, AI tools, and how they can improve guest research and production workflows.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Availability to attend recordings outside typical hours when required, including evenings or weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly when working under time pressure.
  • Commitment to using systems, tools, and workflows that keep research and guest processes organised and efficient.
  • A genuine passion for producing exceptional conversations and delivering a seamless, memorable experience for guests and audiences alike.
