About the Role
WAMC Northeast Public Radio is seeking a dynamic producer for live shows, newscasts, and podcasts. This demanding, multi-platform, deadline-intensive position is responsible for producing high-quality live and recorded audio/video content across broadcast radio, podcasts, YouTube, and digital platforms. The producer manages the daily production calendar, preps hosts, books guests and contributors, builds rundowns, and ensures all content is ready for daily broadcast.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce daily live shows, newscasts, and podcasts across broadcast radio, digital, and video platforms
- Manage the production calendar and coordinate all aspects of daily content delivery
- Prep hosts, book guests and contributors, and build rundowns
- Host broadcasts as needed
- Serve as the editorial bridge to the show’s social and digital team, providing footage access and timestamp notes for short-form content
- Create clips for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok based on broadcast content
- Ensure all content meets broadcast standards and deadlines
About You
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with daily live production, understands YouTube workflows, and is ready to bring that expertise to locally important content. This is an on-site, full-time position requiring strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a passion for public radio and podcast production.
