About the Role

Spotify Trust & Safety is dedicated to creating a platform that’s safe for users and creators. The company is looking for a Manager to lead the Monetization Policy Operations team within Trust & Safety. You will be responsible for the development and refinement of the monetized policy operations function to help enforce Spotify’s stance on advertising and monetization policy issues that impact users, creators, and advertisers across music, podcasts, and user-generated content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define operations strategies and implement scalable processes to ensure successful and consistent ads and monetization policy enforcement globally
  • Advise on and lead high-profile and time-sensitive escalations, providing steady leadership during sensitive or high-visibility situations
  • Work creatively with Trust & Safety and cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Product, Public Affairs, and Legal to resolve issues
  • Drive daily content moderation operations and reviewer workflows; establish metrics-driven goals
  • Oversee vendor progress and requirements; evaluate queues, capacity, and drive performance
  • Remove barriers to success for reviewer teams by providing mentorship and coaching
  • Communicate policy enforcement processes and updates effectively to leadership and cross-functional partners

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity while collaborating across teams
  • Experience in content moderation, policy operations, or related fields
  • Ability to manage sensitive escalations and complex issues
  • Note: May need to review sensitive and potentially disturbing content on weekends
