Role Description The Media Consultant will support The Security Shift Podcast by developing and executing media and sponsorship strategies that expand audience reach and deepen engagement. This on-site role in Phoenix, AZ involves planning and coordinating media placements, identifying and nurturing sponsor relationships, and advising on promotional campaigns across digital and traditional channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with the hosts and production team to align media activities with episode themes, crafting compelling pitches and proposals, and monitoring performance metrics for campaigns. The Media Consultant will also help optimize online presence, ensure consistent branding, and provide recommendations that support sustainable growth of the podcast and its community.
Qualifications
- Ability to develop and manage effective media planning strategies, including identifying appropriate channels and optimizing placements.
- Strong communication skills for building relationships with sponsors, partners, and stakeholders, and for crafting clear proposals and presentations.
- Experience in sales and sponsorship development, including prospecting, negotiation, and account management.
- Background in marketing and online marketing, with the ability to design and evaluate campaigns for podcast promotion and audience growth.
- Familiarity with podcast, broadcast, or digital media environments; experience in the security or related industries is beneficial.
- Comfort working on-site in Phoenix, AZ, collaborating with a small team and adapting to a fast-evolving content schedule.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to use analytics tools to track performance and inform decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
