Music and Podcasts Content Strategy Manager, YouTube
Google is seeking a Music and Podcasts Content Strategy Manager to join the Music and Podcasts Content Strategy team in North America. With deep music culture expertise, you will contribute to YouTube’s music and podcasts content strategy, helping shape products and grow YouTube’s relevance with music fans and creators.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of latest content and consumption trends in music across the YouTube ecosystem
- Work on YouTube’s Music programs across a variety of surfaces and formats
- Leverage culture and content expertise coupled with analytical skills to shape YouTube products
- Partner with global Music and Podcasts Content Strategy leadership and cross-functional stakeholders including product, engineering, design, marketing, artist and label partnerships
- Identify emerging musical talent and trends, working with record labels, publishers, artists, and content owners
- Develop and execute co-promotion and cross-promotion strategies and campaigns
- Analyze research and performance data to optimize programming strategy
- Craft messaging and work with design and production resources to drive creative execution
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience in marketing within the mobile or online digital music content industry
- Experience with digital programming processes and creative content
- Experience identifying emerging musical talent, trends, and working with industry partners
- Experience working with product and engineering teams at digital platforms or record labels
- Experience with a variety of digital music formats including short form video preferred
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze performance data
- Ability to operate in fast-paced environments and build partnerships across teams
- Excellent communication and creative execution skills
