Changing Lives Productions is launching a new podcast focused on untold stories of extraordinary individuals and the hardships they overcame to succeed. We are seeking an exceptionally skilled, world-class Video Podcast Editor who understands the art of storytelling, retention, and emotional payoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform raw, long-form conversations into cinematic journeys that keep viewers engaged through the entire episode
- Identify powerful emotional moments and structure episodes to create curiosity, momentum, and reveals
- Use pacing, music, graphics, and editing rhythm to amplify emotion and build tension
- Integrate motion graphics, B-roll, and visual elements to enhance cinematic value
- Maximize watch time through strategic editing and open-loop narrative structures
- Manage final subtitling, branding, and file organization for global publishing
- Work closely with the creative team to refine editorial voice and implement feedback quickly
- Identify high-engaging moments for trailer and clips content
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience editing long-form video content for high-profile podcasts, interviews, or documentary-style YouTube channels
- Experience on a podcast ranking in the top 5% with 100,000+ downloads per episode within first 30 days
- Natural instincts for story structure, pacing, and dramatic timing
- High-level understanding of YouTube performance metrics and narrative structure for audience retention
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro
- Ability to identify and highlight vulnerability, turning points, and inspiring moments
- Ability to work with minimal direction and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
