Podcast Editor (End-to-End Production)

This role is for a true podcast builder, not just an editor. If you’ve taken a podcast from raw recordings to a fully launched, distributed show and care deeply about how every episode sounds, flows, and performs, this is for you. We are launching a podcast built for moms focused on real conversations, practical insights, and meaningful connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Editing: Clean and edit full-length audio episodes, remove filler words and pauses, edit video versions for YouTube and social media, add music and branding elements, create short-form clips and audiograms
  • Production & Planning: Build and manage content calendar, support episode ideation using AI tools, prepare structured interview guides
  • Guest Coordination: Handle outreach, scheduling, communication, and prepare guests before recording
  • Recording Management: Run recording sessions using Riverside.fm, ensure quality, resolve issues live
  • Publishing & Distribution: Launch and manage podcast across Apple Podcasts and Spotify, handle RSS setup and metadata, track performance metrics
  • Content Support: Write show notes and descriptions, generate social captions using AI tools

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience launching podcasts end-to-end
  • Strong audio editing skills with clean, professional output
  • Video editing experience for podcast and social clips
  • Experience submitting and managing podcasts on Apple Podcasts
  • Familiarity with Riverside.fm or similar tools
  • Portfolio of published podcast work (required)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to manage timelines independently and meet deadlines
  • Stable internet and backup required
  • Must be available for U.S. work hours

This is a high-ownership role with minimal supervision in a fast-moving launch environment. You will be a core driver of the podcast’s success from day one.

Recruitment Scam Warning

Podwires will never ask you to pay fees, purchase equipment, or share sensitive financial information (bank details, SSN, credit cards) during the application process. Be cautious of offers that seem too good to be true, unsolicited messages from generic email addresses, or pressure to act immediately.

If something feels off, trust your instincts. Research the company, verify the posting on their official site, and never send money for a job. Report suspicious listings to ReportFraud.ftc.gov or contact us.
