Podcast Editor & Producer – Student Worker (Remote)
Lipscomb University seeks an experienced Podcast Editor to support the Purpose Ignited podcast. This role involves editing audio interviews, creating social media clips, and uploading materials to a podcast platform. The position is estimated at 5 hours per week and is open to current Lipscomb University students only. Candidates may be eligible for federal work-study.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit audio interviews, deleting sections with errors and adding transitions/intros
- Perform noise reduction and audio level correction
- Pull short clips for social media and Instagram Reels
- Upload finished edits to podcast hosting platform
- Shoot simple behind-the-scenes footage on iPhone as needed
- Assist with additional editing and production tasks
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current Lipscomb University student (non-Lipscomb students not considered)
- Experience with audio editing and post-production
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented mindset
- Clear communicator with collaborative skills
- Film Production or Communication major preferred, Sophomore-level or higher
- 2+ years of editing experience preferred
